Changes to public transport
From Monday 13 July to Friday 21 August 2026, extensive track works will take place between Max-Eyth-Straße and Doberaner Straße. During this period, no trams will run between the Hamburger Straße depot and Doberaner Platz. A comprehensive replacement bus service (SEV) will be put in place on two routes. In addition, there will be route and timetable changes on lines 1, 2, 5, 26 and F1.

Tram routes
During the track works, there will be no tram service between the Hamburger Straße depot and Doberaner Platz. The tram network will be split. From Monday 13 July to Friday 21 August 2026, the following changes will apply:
In the north-west, only line 5 will operate on a shortened route. On the rest of the network, lines 1 and 5 will operate on altered routes, line 2 will be suspended, and lines 3, 4 and 6 will operate as normal.

Replacement buses (SEV) in service
During the construction work, a replacement bus service will operate on two routes.
SEV Line E1
A replacement bus service is operating in both directions between the RSAG depot on Hamburger Straße and the main station. The RSAG depot is a transfer stop only and cannot be used for boarding or alighting. Line 5, coming from Mecklenburger Allee, terminates here, and passengers can transfer to the SEV bus on line E1. The replacement buses run from here via Saarplatz and Erich-Schlesinger-Straße towards the main station south.
The replacement buses run approximately every 6 to 8 minutes during the day from Monday to Saturday, every 10 minutes on Sundays, and every 15 minutes in the early morning and evening.

SEV Line E2 (circular service)
Buses on route E2 operate as a clockwise circular service from Kröpeliner Tor via Doberaner Platz, Doberaner Straße and Warnowufer, before returning to Kröpeliner Tor.
The replacement buses run every 20 minutes, Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 21:00, Saturday from 09:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to 21:00.

Changes to bus services
Line 26
During the construction work, buses on Route 26 will operate on a shortened route between Südblick and S Hauptbahnhof Süd. Please use the SEV bus E1 to continue your journey towards Holbeinplatz.
Line 34
From 29 June to 24 July 2026, buses on Route 34 will terminate at the temporary stop Holbeinplatz on Max-Eyth-Straße. From Monday, 27 July 2026, buses will resume their regular route.
Line F1 (Nightbus)
During the track works, buses on line F1 will be diverted in both directions via Ulmenstraße between S Holbeinplatz and Doberaner Platz. They will serve the following stops:
