Ahoy Warnowstromer
With the new electric solar passenger ferry you can travel without emissions. The ship was built by the Stralsund company Ostseestaal GmbH & Co. KG.
The catamaran carries up to 80 people and 15 bicycles. High-performance batteries provide the drive power for the two 45 kW rudder propellers. These are charged by a total of 36 solar modules which are located on the roof of the ship. This can save up to 36,000 liters of diesel per year.

Tickets for ferry crossings can be bought on the ferry and at all stationary RSAG ticket machines.
Information
You can buy your ferry tickets via our ticket machines, e.g. on the ferry and at the Kabutzenhof ferry pier, or via mobile ticketing.
You can also get tickets at the Gehlsdorf travel agency, Fährstraße 1A (opening hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Wed 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.).
Piers
In Gehlsdorf the ferry docks at the end of Landreiterstraße. The Kabutzenhof pier can be reached via the tram stop of the same name. It is a 5 minutes walk from here towards the city’s port.
Traffic lights signal access to the pier
Please pay attention to the traffic lights in front of the jetties in Gehlsdorf and at Kabutzenhof.
- Entering the floating jetty, including its access bridges, is generally only permitted if the passenger ferry is docked at the jetty and the traffic lights are switched to GREEN.
- If there is no ferry at the pier and the traffic light is RED, entering the floating berth is prohibited. In order to enable a smooth passenger change, we ask you not to wait directly in front of the gate, but to use the areas at the RSAG passenger shelter.
Background
RSAG has commercial responsibility for ferry traffic on the Kabutzenhof – Gehlsdorf route (since 01.03.2015). Ferry operations themselves are carried out by Antaris GmbH, who have been granted a 10-year concession by the Ministry for Energy, Infrastructure and Regional Development in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
RSAG ensures the integration of ferry travel into the existing local public transport network offering and represents ferry travel in the VVW (Warnow transport association).
