Across the water from the city to Gehlsdorf.
The shortest route to Gehlsdorf is by taking the ferry which connects the city’s port and Gehlsdorf. From Monday to Friday, the ferry sails between Gehlsdorf and Kabutzenhof (6.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m. and on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays between Gehlsdorf and Schnickmannstraße located - in the centre of the city’s port (10.30 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.).
You need a ferry ticket for the crossing. Please use the ticket for taking bicycles on the ferry, should you wish to take a bicycle with you. If you already have another ticket (e.g. single/day ticket or a monthly season ticket), ferry crossings are included.
Tickets for ferry crossings can be bought on the ferry and at all stationary RSAG ticket machines.
In Gehlsdorf the ferry docks at the end of Landreiterstraße. The Kabutzenhof pier can be reached via the tram stop of the same name. It is about a 5-minute walk from here in the direction of the city’s port.
At the weekends, ferries dock centrally in the city’s port. The Schnickmannstraße pier can be found near passenger shipping.
