Track construction work on Steinstraße

No tram service between Steintor, Lange Straße, and Schröderplatz—all tram routes have been rerouted. Bus route 25 has been extended to the temporary stop at Neuer Markt.

From Monday, June 1, through Saturday, June 13, 2026, there will be restrictions on tram service in the Lange Straße and Neuer Markt area.
During this period, no trams will run between the Steintor and Schröderplatz stops. The tram stops Neuer Markt, Lange Straße, and Kröpeliner Tor will be bypassed in both directions. Line 25 will be extended to the temporary stop at Neuer Markt.
Due to track construction work, tram lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 will operate on altered routes in both directions.

Geänderte Linienführung bei den Straßenbahnen
Auf Grund der Gleisbauarbeiten findet kein Straßenbahnverkehr durch die Lange Straße statt. Daraus ergeben sich folgende Änderungen für alle Linien:

Changes at the Main Station (Hauptbahnhof)
Updated signage at the main station
Due to changes in the tram routes, signage inside Rostock Central Station leading to the tram level via the stairs has been updated. Please also check the digital departure boards with platform numbers located near the stairs leading to the tram level. During the construction work, trams will stop at the central station as follows:

2 Kurt-Schumacher-Ring (via Steintor/City)
4 Kurt-Schumacher-Ring (via Steintor/City)
5 Dierkower Allee (via Steintor/City)
Platform B

For our zoo visitors
Due to the rerouting of train lines, there is no direct service from Rostock Central Station to the zoo during the construction period. Please take line 1 or 5 and transfer at Goetheplatz (same platform) to a train on line 3 or 6 heading toward Neuer Friedhof.

Route change for Bus Line 25
During construction, Line 25 will be extended to the temporary stop at Neuer Markt as a replacement service for the tram.
Toward Neuer Markt
From Doberaner Platz, Line 25 will stop at the following stations:

Toward Th.-Morus-Straße
From the temporary stop at Neuer Markt, buses will travel along Lange Straße and Kröpiliner Tor toward Doberaner Platz (now Platform C, not Platform D as usual). From there, they will continue via Saarplatz toward Th.-Morus-Straße.
The Schröderplatz and Deutsche-Med-Platz stops have been eliminated without replacement.
