Travel Information & Timetable

During Hanse Sail, the offering of the RSAG will be extended.

From 6 to 9 August 2026, Rostock will once again become a hub for traditional sailing ships, concerts and maritime atmosphere. To ensure you reach the Hanse Sail stress-free, we recommend travelling by public transport.

Due to construction work in the Werftdreieck area, a revised traffic plan will be in place during the Hanse Sail. The tram network will be split during this period. However, with additional services on tram, bus, S-Bahn and ferry routes, you can still reach all event venues comfortably. The S-Bahn is particularly recommended for journeys between north-west Rostock and the city centre.

Additional traffic

During the Hanse Sail, the public transport service will be significantly expanded.

  • Additional services on numerous tram and bus routes
  • Extended operating hours into the night
  • More frequent S-Bahn services between Rostock Central Station and Warnemünde
  • Additional ferry services between Gehlsdorf and the city harbour
  • Increased night-time services on event evenings

Timetable information and all current departure times can be found in the RSAG or VVW app.
