New transport plan for routes 28 and 29: More bus services for Kritzmow and the south of Rostock

From 26 October, the bus service in the south of Rostock will be reorganised. With the revised routes for RSAG bus routes 28 and 29 and the rebus route 102, passengers in Stadtweide, Kritzmow and along Satower Straße will benefit from more frequent services and improved timetabling.

Following the construction of the new bridge on Rennbahnallee, we are adjusting our transport services in the area around the Zoo, Neuer Friedhof, Parkstraße and Campus Südstadt. The changes to services affect both connections to Rostock Zoo and services along the southern transport corridor between Satower Straße, Stadtweide, Neuer Friedhof and Campus Südstadt. In future, the section between the Zoo and Neuer Friedhof will no longer be served by trams. Instead, bus routes 29 and 102 will provide regular connections and improved travel options in this area.

Changes to routes 28 and 29

Bus route 28 will in future run from Holbeinplatz S-Bahn station to the Zoo stop. From there, the buses will continue as route 29, travelling via Schwimmhalle, S Parkstraße, Campus Südstadt, Neuer Friedhof and Stadtweide to the terminus at Wüsteney.

The service on route 29 is also being expanded: during the day, buses run every 20 minutes; in the evenings and at weekends, every 30 minutes. This ensures regular connections even outside peak hours.

Additional connections with the rebus 102 service

The service is supplemented by the rebus route 102, which runs every 20 minutes during the day from Stäbelow via Kritzmow to the Südstadt campus.

The timetables for routes 29 and 102 are coordinated. This results in a service approximately every 10 minutes during the day, Monday to Friday, on the shared section of the route along Satower Straße via Stadtweide and Neuer Friedhof to the Südstadt campus.

Passengers in the south of Rostock will therefore benefit from a more frequent bus service and additional travel options between the city’s districts and the surrounding area.
