We now offer 2 new payment functions at our stationary ticket machines: contactless and credit card payments. In doing so, we are pressing ahead with the digitalisation of our sales processes and are making buying tickets even easier and more convenient.
To make contactless payments at the ticket machines at bus and tram stops, you simply need to hold your respective bank or credit card a few centimetres away from the card reader. You no longer need to enter your PIN for purchases of up to €25. Payment is, therefore, much faster, more convenient and more secure.
Customer Request: Credit Card Payments
We are meeting the wish of a great number of our customers and have modified our ticket machines to accommodate credit card payments. VISA, MasterCard, JCB and Diners Club are accepted. Foreign visitors to Rostock in particular are pleased about this new payment option. Particularly in Scandinavia, contactless payments even for the smallest amounts have long been standard.
The RSAG machines at the bus and tram stops have been modified for these additional functions and equipped with new card reading devices. In addition, a software upgrade was necessary, which has been tested and now functions reliably. More information on our ticket machines.
